Lauric Lebato inquiry: Second man in court charged with violent disorder

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an incident surrounding the death of Lauric Lebato in Leicester city centre.

Jason Danquah, 19, of Tudor Road, Leicester, appeared at the city's magistrates' court today accused of violent disorder on Saturday, February 11.

He indicated a plea of not guilty to the charge.

Danquah was remanded into custody. He is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on March 20.

Mr Lebato, 22, from London, died after he sustained a fatal stab wound during an incident in Albion Street on the morning of February 11.

Sulaiman Sillah, of Bateman Road, New Parks, Leicester, has already appeared in court charged with the murder of Mr Lebato, as well as violent disorder and the possession of a knife in Albion Street.

The 22-year-old is also charged with the possession of a knife in High Street, Gillingham, Kent, on February 14.

Sillah is yet to enter pleas to any of the charges.

He has also been remanded into custody, and will appear at Leicester Crown Court next month.
