Police have named a motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a car on a country road.
Christopher Williams was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the A52 in Bottesford, in the Vale of Belvoir on Wednesday morning.
The 25-year-old's Honda motorcycle collided with a Vauxhall Insignia at 8.35am.
Police said Mr Williams was originally from Wolverhampton but was living in Derby.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
In a statement, Leicestershire Police said: "The motorcyclist was travelling towards Grantham and the car was being driven in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.
"If you were driving along the A52 and witnessed the collision or recall seeing either vehicle beforehand then please get in touch."
