Leicestershire Police want to speak to this man over a bank card stolen in city centre robbery

Police are looking for a person who used a bank card in a Leicester shop just hours after it was stolen during a street robbery.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man who they want to speak to about the incident.

The card was used in a newsagents in Fosse Road South after a victim was robbed in the early hours of the same morning.

The card was stolen after a 43-year-old man was approached in Marshall Street, Woodgate, Leicester, by two men, on Saturday April 22.

They took items, including the bank card, from the man.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.

A police spokesman said: "Can you help us identify this man after a stolen bank card was used in a shop in Leicester?

"The card was stolen during a robbery in Marshall Street during the early hours of Saturday April 22 and then subsequently used to purchase items in a newsagents later on the same morning.

"If you recognise the man in the image or you have any suspicions about who he may be then please get in touch."
