Police hunt hit and run driver after biker and passenger knocked off machine on Alan Moss Road

A motorcyclist and his passenger were injured in a collision involving a hit-and-run driver.

The two men were knocked off the machine in the crash with a silver Ford Focus which.

It happened at about 8pm on Allan Moss Road in Loughborough yesterday.

Police, who are hunting the driver of the car, said the Ford Focus involved was found abandoned nearby.

The two men were taken to hospital after the crash.

A police spokesman said a member of the public called officers after coming across the incident at 8pm yesterday.

They added: "Emergency services attended the scene and both men were taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre by ambulance for treatment for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

"The passenger has since been discharged."

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw the incident or either of the vehicles involved.
