Robbers kick victim in the head before stealing wallet in terrifying Leicester street attack

A man had his watch, wallet and mobile phone stolen after being attacked in a Leicester street.

Two men targeted the victim near the STA coffee shop, in Tudor Road, at about 1am on Sunday.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "He was approached by two men who demanded his phone, wallet and watch and assaulted him, kicking and punching him in the head."

The attackers made off towards King Richard's Road after the robbery.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police are hunting a second man in connection with the incident. He is described as having a light complexion, in his late teens and around 5ft 6ins.

He had short, dark, tightly curled hair and was wearing a dark, parka-style coat with fur around the hood.
